Abstract
► Laser speckle contrast imaging can reliably assess skin reactive hyperaemia. ► Laser Doppler flowmetry has poor reliability for assessing skin reactive hyperaemia. ► Both techniques can reliably assess sympathetic vasomotor reflexes in glabrous skin. ► Laser speckle and laser Doppler measures of skin perfusion are non-linearly related.
