Abstract
⺠GLP-1 blocked the angiotensin II-induced superoxide generation in mesangial cells. ⺠GLP-1 inhibited the angiotensin II-induced NF-κB activation in mesangial cells. ⺠GLP-1 reduced ICAM-1 and PAI-1 mRNA levels in angiotensin II-exposed mesangial cells. ⺠An inhibitor of protein kinase A blocked the effects of GLP-1 on mesangial cells.
