Abstract
⺠The effect of hyperoxia on cerebral and muscle tissue oxygenation was studied. ⺠Ten healthy men were tested at rest in a counterbalanced crossover study protocol. ⺠Cerebral and muscle oxygenation were monitored with near-infrared spectroscopy. ⺠The frontal cortex seems to be more sensitive to hyperoxia than the skeletal muscles.
