Abstract
► The effect of hyperoxia on cerebral and muscle tissue oxygenation was studied. ► Ten healthy men were tested at rest in a counterbalanced crossover study protocol. ► Cerebral and muscle oxygenation were monitored with near-infrared spectroscopy. ► The frontal cortex seems to be more sensitive to hyperoxia than the skeletal muscles.
