Abstract
⺠Acute hypercapnia causes an increase in pial artery pulsation in humans. ⺠NIR-T/BSS allows for non-invasive monitoring of microvessel pulsation. ⺠NIR-T/BSS is consistent with TCD and SPECT. ⺠Further studies on patients with diseases affecting brain microvessels are warranted.
