Abstract
⺠Blood flow resistance (BFR) in the microcirculation was studied by pulsed Doppler ultrasound using thyroid as a model. ⺠Most of the BFR parameters were higher in malignant lesion vessels and lower in normal host vessels. ⺠Pulsed Doppler ultrasound can reflect the homogeneity condition of the distribution of BFR within a lesion. ⺠Low to moderate significant positive correlations of BFR between benign vessels and host vessels were found. ⺠Low negative correlations between the malignant nodule sizes and some of the BFR parameters were revealed.
