Abstract
⺠An Aβ42-GFP fusion misfolds in transgenic plant cells and loses fluorescence. ⺠An Aβ42-HPTII fusion misfolds in plant cells with a loss of hygromycin resistance. ⺠A missense Aβ42 to replace Aβ42 rescues the functionality of the fusion proteins. ⺠Known anti-Aβ42-aggregation agents restore GFP fluorescence/hygromycin resistance. ⺠The system can serve to screen for inhibitors of Aβ42 misfolding (AD therapeutics).
