Abstract
⺠The phosphorescence oxygen analyzer permits non-invasive, preliminary assessment of cellular bioenergetics. ⺠Oxygen analyzer could be used as screening tool for mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome. ⺠Lymphocytes are a good source for measuring cellular respiration. ⺠Limitations of oxygen analyzer include the need for fresh blood samples and the phenomenon of heteroplasmy.
