Abstract
⺠Burkholderia pseudomallei infections are fastidious to treat with conventional antibiotic therapy. ⺠B. pseudomallei are extraordinarily susceptible to a variety of NO donors. ⺠NO kills stationary and log phase, anaerobic and persistent B. pseudomallei. ⺠NO could be considered as potential treatment to treat melioidosis caused by B. pseudomallei infections.
