Abstract
⺠NO controls the cell cycle at both the G1/S transition and the S and G2/M phases. ⺠NO controls p21Cip1/Waf1 expression in a biphasic manner. ⺠The expression of p21Cip1/Waf1 is controlled by the BRCA1/Chk1/p53 pathway. ⺠The activation of p38MAPK down-regulates the NO-mediated p21Cip1/Waf1 expression.
