Abstract
⺠Fleahoppers belong to the most destructive insect pests of cotton in the US. ⺠Concerns over human safety and the disruptive nature of insecticides exist. ⺠Alternate means of control necessitate knowledge of the basic physiological properties. ⺠We identified by mass spectrometry fleahopper-specific peptide hormones. ⺠Findings may help developing mimetica capable of disrupting physiological functions.
