Abstract
⺠cDNAs encoding five novel antimicrobial peptide precursors were cloned from skin cDNA library of Amolops ricketti. ⺠They are the first antimicrobial peptides from A. ricketti.⺠The actual presence and characterization of mature antimicrobial peptides was confirmed by two methods RP-HPLC and LC-MS/MS-based proteomics approach. ⺠We use the proteomic method in 4 different ways to prepare the sample for peptides identification. ⺠Incompletely digestion of protein can markedly increase peptide numbers of identification.
