Abstract
⺠Prazosin, an α1-adrenoceptor blocker, is an effect treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.
- Prazosin modulates release of TRH and TRH-like peptides in rat brain and peripheral tissues. ⺠TRH and TRH-like peptides have neuroprotective, antidepressant, and anxiolytic effects. ⺠These peptides may mediate some of the therapeutic effects of prozosin.
