Abstract
⺠Under resting conditions, hypertensive rats showed an increase in plasma ANP levels from chronic training. ⺠The swimming training similarly modified the expression of the natriuretic peptide receptor-type A and C in the kidney of SHR. ⺠The increase in the plasma ANP levels by swimming training decreased the degradation in the mesenteric fat tissue. ⺠The ANP could be involved in the reduction of blood pressure that was induced by swimming training in SHR but not by running training.
