Abstract
âºWe investigated 5-HT2A and mGlu2/3 receptor interactions in prepulse inhibition. âºThe 5-HT2A/2C receptor agonist DOI disrupted prepulse inhibition in Wistar rats. âºPre-treatment with the mGlu2/3 receptor agonist LY379268 attenuated this effect. âºThe data confirm antagonistic interactions between 5-HT2A and mGlu2/3 receptors. âºmGlu2/3 receptor agonists may be useful to attenuate sensorimotor gating deficits.
