Abstract
⺠CD-1 mice are able to detect “green odors” at concentrations as low as 0.03 ppm. ⺠Spider monkeys were less sensitive than the mice for these C6 alcohols and aldehydes. ⺠In both species the type of functional group affected olfactory sensitivity. ⺠Position of a double bond and cis/trans configuration affected sensitivity in the mice.
