Abstract
⺠Nicotine increased brain activation under conditions of low task complexity. ⺠Nicotine slowed RTs at highest cognitive load, possibly due to hyper-dopaminergia. ⺠Post-nicotine hemispheric shifts in EEG activity suggest behavioural inhibition.
