Abstract
⺠361 genes were differentially regulated in FSL (“depressed”) and control rats. ⺠Adipocytokine genes were dysregulated in the “depressed” rats. ⺠In humans anxiety and depressive symptoms correlated with adiponectin levels. ⺠Dysregulation of adipocytokine signaling may contribute to depressive-like behavior.
