Abstract
► TAAR1 KO mice show enhanced methamphetamine-induced locomotor activity response. ► TAAR1 KO mice achieve methamphetamine-induced CPP earlier than WT mice. ► There was no difference between KO and WT mice in morphine-induced CPP. ► TAAR1 may have a selective role in reward-related behaviors of psychostimulants. ► Novel receptor family with putative role in rewarding effects of drugs of abuse.
