Abstract
⺠Chronic DFMO treatment depleted putrescine in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex. ⺠Chronic DFMO treatment decreased spermidine levels in the brain. ⺠Chronic DFMO treatment decreased agmatine level in the CA2/3. ⺠Chronic DFMO treatment impaired spatial learning and memory specifically. ⺠Endogenous polyamines are important for learning and memory.
