Abstract
►Early maternal separation (MS) altered ethanol-induced reinforcement. ►Kappa antagonism did not alter ethanol-induced reinforcement. ►MS did not affect ethanol intake or ethanol-induced motor stimulation. ►MS resulted in an altered pattern of open-field exploration.
