Abstract
► Oxotremorine was delivered to the preoptic area in male hamsters. ► These enhanced male behavior, decreasing mount number and postejaculatory interval. ► In addition, they facilitated the female-typical lordosis response. ► Treatments dorsal to the preoptic area produced similar effects. ► But these also were found to disrupt elements of male behavior.
