Abstract
⺠Pioglitazone (Pio) 20 and 40 mg/kg, was administered daily for three weeks in mice. ⺠Cognitive functions were assessed in passive avoidance and water maze tasks. ⺠Pio prevented scopolamine-induced cognitive-deficits in a dose-dependent manner. ⺠It also prevented scopolamine-induced changes in brain oxidative-stress markers.
