Abstract
⺠Participation of 5-HT7 receptors in diabetes-induced thermal sensitivity is studied. ⺠5-HT7 agonist reduced thermal hyperalgesia, but did not influence thermal hypoalgesia. ⺠Co-administration of 5-HT7 receptor antagonist reversed this anti-hyperalgesic effect. ⺠5-HT7 agonists may have utility in neuropathic pain pharmacotherapy.
