Abstract
► Participation of 5-HT7 receptors in diabetes-induced thermal sensitivity is studied. ► 5-HT7 agonist reduced thermal hyperalgesia, but did not influence thermal hypoalgesia. ► Co-administration of 5-HT7 receptor antagonist reversed this anti-hyperalgesic effect. ► 5-HT7 agonists may have utility in neuropathic pain pharmacotherapy.
