Abstract
⺠Morphine-sensitized rats show stress resilience that mimics a mania-like condition. ⺠In control rats carbamazepine, but not lithium, elicited an anhedonia-like condition. ⺠Repeated carbamazepine abolished stress resilience in morphine-sensitized rats. ⺠Carbamazepine did not affect the responses to palatable food in sensitized rats. ⺠Lithium did not affect the responses to palatable food in sensitized rats.
