Abstract
⺠Beta lactam antibiotics offer neuroprotection by increasing GLT-1 expression. ⺠Ceftriaxone prevents the development of tolerance and dependence to opioids. ⺠Cannabinoid tolerance is known to be similar to opioids. ⺠Ceftriaxone attenuated the development of tolerance to the cannabinoid. ⺠GLT-1 transporter inhibitor reversed the preventive effect of ceftriaxone.
