Abstract
⺠Attention to smoking cues contributes to the maintenance of addictive behaviour. ⺠We questioned if pictorial health warnings on cigarette packages affect attention. ⺠We found that light smokers divert their attention away from pictorial warnings. ⺠In contrast, for heavy smokers we observed a positive association with craving.
