Abstract
⺠Blocking endogenous cannabinoid signaling at CB1 receptors reduces weight gain. ⺠AM4113 induces a transient inhibition of food intake. ⺠Inhibition of weight gain is due to reduced food intake not changes in metabolism. ⺠Chronic AM4113 treatment alters neither brain nor plasma 2-AG levels.
