Abstract
âºRhizopus oryzae lipase (ROL) was expressed in the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica. ⺠The combination of pre- and prosequences for ROL secretion was tested. ⺠Lipase production was highest (7.6 U/mL) with a hybrid variant of preAEP and proROL. ⺠The most active clone was used for enzyme purification and characterization. ⺠Recombinant ROL exhibited higher thermostability than previously reported.
