Abstract
⺠Enhanced leptin receptor expression under hypoxic conditions in placental cells. ⺠Leptin is unable to stimulate placental cell p42/p44 or STAT3 pathways. ⺠Rate of proliferation of placental cells is independent of leptin added to the culture medium.
