Abstract
Infusion takes a large place in the modern therapeutic arsenal. However, due to lack of harmonization and insufficiencies of practice which may be noted in some centers, making a state of the art seemed usefull. The method consisted of a synthesis of the asset according to the data of the literature on one hand and an assessment of existing on the hospital market on the other hand. The field of the study was related to the gravity infusion set, its installation and its maintenance. Globally, the practice is faithful to the normative references however old. But some points (technical terms and practical aspects) require reevaluation and harmonization. Moreover, if new systems are regularly set up, in particular for users safety and patients comfort, the good consensual practices are not available to manufacturers, purchasers and users.
