La stimulation biventriculaire dans la prise en charge de l'insuffisance cardiaque chronique

Since few years, caring for chronic heart failure has been improved with the perfect of resynchronization therapy : it uses triple chamber implantable cardiac pacemaker, called « multisite ». This therapy consists of an atrio- biventricular pacing of the heart. The development of those devices comes after several studies started in early 90's. The latter allowed technology's devices to progress and to have a well targeted indication. However, several points had to be cleared up for a better selection of patient who had a good response with treatment. Since few time, in France, legislation of those devices is in place : it defines precisely the framework of their use and the conditions of their caring by Social security.
