Abstract
At the moment, there are numerous initiatives in different countries. Our pilot survey indicates that 73% of French respondents (n = 73/100) stated they had never heard of or participated in any of the steps of the medication reconciliation process in their professional practice; both the concept and the application of the process appear limited in France. A large-scale diffusion of results and evaluations of the World Health Organization protocols about medication reconciliation will help professionals conform to this good clinical practice that is recognized amongst required practices for the V2010 certification of French hospitals.
