Abstract
The existing rules are unclear to define the categories of dietary foods to be managed by the hospital pharmacies. However, it seems relevant that the hospital pharmacies deliver high criticality dietary foods (such as enteral nutrition) and that dietary services manage the lower criticality dietary foods. In addition, for dietary foods used in hereditary metabolic diseases, the national centralization of retrocessions seems beneficial for patients and in economic terms.
