Abstract
⺠We developed a rapid method to concentrate dissolved DNA (dDNA) from aquifer water. ⺠We tested dDNA stability in aquifer water and dDNA recovery parameters. ⺠We were able to PCR amplify 16S rRNA for T-RFLP and clone library analysis from aquifer dDNA. ⺠The ureC gene, broad-host-range IncP, IncQ and IncW plasmid genes were also detected from aquifer dDNA.
