Prediction and screening of nuclear targeting proteins with nuclear localization signals in Helicobacter pylori

► We screen for nuclear targeting proteins with the NLSs in H. pylori 26695. ► Twenty-six nuclear targeting proteins with NLSs are identified in H. pylori. ► This is the first report to identify nuclear targeting proteins in H. pylori. ► The systemic approach for nuclear targeting proteins provides novel insights into bacterial pathogenesis.
