Abstract
► A reliable 96-well gel-based antifungal assay was successfully developed. ► Digitisation gave highly repeatable inhibition parameters for filamentous fungi. ► Our gel-based assay allows for various staining methods and preservation. ► The preserved assay results can be visually and microscopically evaluated. ► Fungicide concentrations leading to morphologic changes could be determined.
