Abstract
► We developed a novel in situ method for H2S detection during microbial fermentation. ► Method was verified using Saccharomyces cerevisiae. ► Method allows high throughput detection of H2S, suitable for screening purposes. ► Method allows the comparison of different strains for H2S formation capabilities. ► Method allows the comparison of different sulfur sources for H2S formation induction.
