Abstract
⺠The hCD46 promoter was used to drive expression of hCEACAM1 cDNA in transgenic mice. ⺠The hCEACAM1 protein was expressed in various tissues including vaginal tissue. ⺠The hCEACAM1 protein was expressed on the cell membrane. ⺠N. gonorrhoeae can infect and cause inflammation in transgenic mice.
