Abstract
This paper summarizes the present status of confidence interval estimation for one-factor random models. We provide both closed-form intervals and generalized confidence intervals for several parameters. Simple numerical examples are provided to illustrate computations. In order to limit the focus of this review, we consider only one-at-a-time (non-simultaneous) intervals with homoscedastic normal error terms, and do not include any Bayesian or bootstrap methods.
