Abstract
In this study, a simple physical model for liquid pool spreading with vaporization is solved semi-analytically for the first time using the mathematical method of perturbation techniques. The evaporation rate per unit area is used as the perturbation parameter, and first-order solutions are obtained for continuous and instantaneous releases.
