Abstract
Binuclear Bi(III) halide complexes (H2bpen)2[Bi2X10] (X = Cl (1) and Br (2)) (bpen = 4,4′-vinylenedipyridine) have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction. Both complexes display blue–green luminescence.
Graphical abstractBinuclear Bi(III) halide complexes (H2bpen)2[Bi2X10] (X = Cl, Br) (bpen = 4,4′-vinylenedipyridine) have been synthesized. Both complexes display blue–green luminescence; its intensity is significantly higher for chloride complex than for bromide.Figure optionsDownload full-size imageDownload as PowerPoint slide
