Abstract
1,2,4-Oxadiazoline Pt(II) complexes can be synthesized via [3+2] cycloaddition between organonitrile complexes and pyrroline N-oxide. Thermal heating of oxadiazolines affords the derived ketoimines. DFT calculations show that the Pt(II)-catalysed cycloaddition is spontaneous and exergonic. Moreover, the molecular structure, spectroscopic and electronic properties of oxadiazoline Pt complex were predicted.96
