Abstract
The syntheses and crystal structures of five new coordination polymers, {[Ag(L)2][PF6]}â (L = 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole) (1), {[Ag2(L)4][SO4]·2H2O}â (2), {[Ag4(L)7][ClO4]4}â (3), [Ag(L)(NO3)]â (4) and {[Ag2(L)3][BF4]2}â (5), are reported. Interestingly, the neutral L ligand has been subjected to several studies on its coordination ability to metal centers. Monodentate (I) and bidentate (II) coordination modes were seen for this neutral ligand. Complex 5 is thus the first complex containing the ligand L where it bridges the metal centers in a tridentate fashion (III) through two triazolyl nitrogen atoms and the amino nitrogen atom.
