“Wheel-and-axle” binuclear Cu(II) dioximates mediated by 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane: Synthesis, X-ray study and luminescent properties

► New binuclear wheel-and-axle Cu(II)-dioximato complexes with luminescent properties were obtained. ► 1,2-Bis(4-pyridyl)ethane was used as a spacer. ► The crystal structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. ► The potential porosity was estimated using PLATON.
