Abstract
⺠Ir(I)-CO complexes of 2-(coumaryl-6-azo)imidazole. ⺠Distorted square pyramidal geometry about Ir(I). ⺠Higher emission quantum yield of the complexes than the free ligands. ⺠The cyclic voltammetry shows metal oxidation and ligand reduction. ⺠DFT computations of the complexes interpret the solution spectra and the redox properties.
