Abstract
Vanadium(V) complexes with glycinehydroxamic acid and three α-aminohydroxamic acids were analyzed using potentiometry and spectroscopy. Formation constants were calculated and structures proposed based on 51V NMR results. VO2L has a distorted trigonal bipyramidal structure and VO2H2L2+ an octahedral one. Both are formed in neutral medium. Only the hydroxamate coordinates to VO2+ .
