Abstract
The reaction of trans-[PdCl2(bddo)] with cyanide, thiocyanate or azide produces the complexes [PdX2(bddo)]. However, the reaction with pyridine yields a mixture of [Pd(bddo)(py)2](BF4)2 (78%) and [Pd(bddo)](BF4)2 (22%) complexes, and the reaction with triphenylphosphine only affords [Pd(bddo)](BF4)2.
