Abstract
A series of cationic, half-sandwich ruthenium complexes with the general formula [(η6-p-cymene)RuCl(S∩N)]+, (S∩N = MeS-C6H4-2-NCHAr, 1a–f) have been studied by cyclic voltammetry and X-ray crystallography. The complexes 1a–e undergo irreversible oxidations and the results are compared to related complexes. The molecular structures of 1d[PF6] and 1f[PF6] were determined by X-ray crystallography.
