Crystal structures, bioactivities and fluorescent properties of four diverse complexes with a new symmetric benzimidazolic ligand

Four new supramolecular complexes based on a new ligand have been constructed and characterized. Interestingly, six or eight-membered hydrogen bonding rings play a key role in the assembly of high-dimensional networks extended by lower dimensional coordination polymers. Among them, complex 2 presents a 3D supramolecular structure with 1D open channels encapsulating NO3- ions.
