Abstract
Five coordination polymers constructed from Zn(II) ions, flexible imidazole-based ligand and dicarboxylate co-ligands have been obtained and characterized. Complexes 1, 2 and 5 show layered structures, but each of them contains different structural motifs; 3 and 4 exhibit different double chains. The structural differences demonstrate that the backbones of the dicarboxylate acids are a key point to form the final coordination polymers.
